A Walled Garden Greenhouse

We first met our client at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2021, where they were immediately drawn to our exceptional quality, design and the convenience of our local services.

They desired a contemporary colour and, after visiting the Ickworth greenhouse at our Chelsea Flower Show 2021 stand, settled on black.

With over 30 years of gardening experience, our client was enthusiastic about integrating a greenhouse into their gardening routine. As the greenhouse was being manufactured at our site in South Harting, they began growing tomatoes, cucumbers, and plantlets to ensure they would be ready for the new space. An orange and lemon tree were the first additions, producing a “heavenly” scent. Since then, they have sown a diverse mix of seeds including tomatillos, cucamelons, Bishop’s Crown chili peppers, sweet peas, Electric daisies, and Japanese indigo.

Their greenhouse is fully equipped with many of our accessories, including our Benching and Strawberry Boards, maximising the use of the available space. One of their favourite features is the Water Reservoir, which allows them to collect rainwater.

The greenhouse isn’t just for growing plants; it also serves as a workspace where our client naturally dyes plants. Utilising the natural heat and light, they use solar dye jars to create silk scarves, bandanas, and embroidery threads for their and their daughter’s small business, Slow and Sow – wrap tie go!

Since the greenhouse was installed, our client has spent more time in their garden. The Alitex greenhouse offers a perfect space for creativity, whether they are pottering about on a rainy day or gardening under the summer sun.
