This private customer with a north facing rear aspect to the property required additional space.
To create new space for this growing family and incorporate a fully glazed conservatory and an adjacent traditional glazed extension with tiled roof.
The property is situated in the South Downs National Park in Hampshire.
The design needed to be sympathetic with the existing property as planning permission was required. U-value calculations were required to satisfy building control therefore a mixture of high performance insulation materials were used to complement the modern double glazed sealed units.
The design needed to echo the general feeling of this Victorian property as such a gable end 45 degree pitch design was used and planning permission was granted.
Alitex worked closely with the family's architect and were also responsible for the project management of the construction aspect of this project.
