Freestanding greenhouse with lobby for charity Thrive

Freestanding Traditional Greenhouse
Wood Sage (RAL 7032)
14m x 4.5m

Our client Thrive, a small national charity that uses gardening to change lives, was in the process of a £839k redevelopment to increase the range of gardening opportunities and the number of Londoners able to benefit from attending the project.

A key element in the re-development was production capacity; the ability to grow stock for three gardens as well as retail activities. They didn't just want an industrial production unit; they wanted something which would reflect the heritage of their site, in one of London's finest Victorian parks. An Alitex bespoke greenhouse was the answer. After discussing the plans with Thrive, the final design needed accessories to enhance the growing experience for the users. The client requested cold frames either side of the lobby and an aspirated screen.

The Alitex bespoke glasshouse has enabled them to do all these things. We were proud to work alongside Thrive on the growing of our show flowers for RHS Chelsea Flower Show. You can read more about their work by clicking here.
